It's a Beautiful Day!!

Well hello there blogging buddies! I hope that you are all having a wonderful Lord's day today. Let me tell you, it has been one crazy week, but soooo wonderful! Last weekend I was really struggling with the Lord. Honestly, there was an area of my future that I really didn't want to let go of. I wanted to be in control & give God directions on how my life should go. Silly, huh? Well anyways, the Lord in his goodness gave me a very good friend to talk to & it turns out she was going through the exact same thing. We talked for about 3 hours last Sunday & agreed to pray for each other every time we thought about it. Well, very long story short, the Lord has given both of us victory in that particular struggle this week. He used both my devotions & two specific chapel messages this week to get a hold of my heart & my will, & I finally have peace. I've given my worries over to God, & I've never felt better. Isn't God good? So that was a great way to start out the week. There is no way to explain the joy & peace God gives when you finally submit your will to His. Well, the rest of the week went without a hitch...at least not any that I can remember. It is all kind of a blur. Lol! Yesterday morning one of my friends made breakfast for me & a couple of other girls; it was delicious! Then I went out for pizza with my roomies, which was also delicious. It was also one of my guy friend's birthday yesterday, so a group of us got together to celebrate. We ate cupcakes & ice cream, & then we played red robin...btw, have I ever mentioned how terrible I am at ping-pong? Hahaha! Oh well, it was a great time anyways =)

This next week looks pretty insane, so if you think of it, I would definitely appreciate prayer. I've started studying Creole, which is a really cool language, but a bit confusing at times & also time consuming. I'm just praying for comprehension & patience right now. Lol. Tomorrow I have 2 assignments due, & also a piano performance. Tuesday I have homework & a quiz. Then Thursday I have a transcription due (transcriptions are a piece of music that you listen to & then notate what you hear...not my forte. Lol.) I also have two midterms, a piano lesson  & 500 pages of reading due that day. Then Friday is the big one; the research paper that I have been working on all semester is due. I only have one thing to say about that: AHHHH!!!! I am so nervous. But hopefully it will go ok =) Then I get to go home for Spring Break!!! Yay! I can't believe how fast this semester is going. It is craziness. I am looking forward to summer, but I'm going to miss all of my college friends SO much. A lot of them are pretty much family now. But I'm excited about the opportunities that God has given me. Speaking of which, I have a VERY exciting announcement to make. Well, I really want to tell you all, but it is not 100% official yet, so you have to wait. But I can't wait, so I'm going to start dropping hints.Actually, I already gave you one earlier in this post, can you spot it?  I think there are maybe 3 people who I have told, so those of you that know, you aren't allowed to say anything =) Haha. Anyways, I want to thank you all for stopping by for this quick wrap-up of my week. Hope you are all doing well & that the weather by you is as beautiful as it has been here. Oh, P.S. It was 60 degrees out today...in March....in Wisconsin! It was amazing. I love sunshine! It was such a blessing to be able to do homework outside. Alright, I'm serious this time, that's all for now. Hahaha! See ya later =)

Here's your first hint:

"By this we know love, that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." ~1 John 3:16-18

Prayer Request

Hey everyone! I hope that you all had a refreshing & relaxing weekend. I just have a quick prayer request I would like to share. I wanted to ask you if you would be willing to join me in prayer for one of my best friends. Emilee has been having quite a few health problems the last couple of months, but she has really had a difficult time in the last week or so.
If you remember from my last post, she had to be rushed to the hospital last week in an ambulance because she had a severe allergic reaction to something. They ran some tests on her to try to establish what she was reacting to, but they won't get the results for another 2 weeks or so. In the meantime, Emilee is having reactions almost daily, & they have no idea what is causing them. The reactions are so severe that her throat will swell up & block her air passages. The only way she can keep them under control is to take benadryl  regularly. But Em also has a kidney disease that the benadryl irritates. So if she doesn't take the benadryl, she can barely breathe, but when she does take it, she is in severe pain from her kidneys. She has had a great attitude about it so far, but she is starting to feel the stress of all these issues on top of the craziness of school. So if you think of it, I would really appreciate your prayers for her. Just pray that the doctors would be able to discover what is causing such severe reactions & that in the meantime the Lord would give her encouragement & strength. Thank you so much! Have a great week =)

Colossians 1:9-14 "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
